Game Overview

Stellar Leap is a space exploration game for 1-5 players and plays in about an hour with resource management, variable player powers, hidden objectives, and game changing events!

Earn prestige by completing missions, discovering new planets, increasing population, and fulfilling your hidden objective. Variable player powers and game-changing events mean that every game is as different as the planets in our galaxy!

  • Supports Multiple Play Styles: Based on who is playing, Stellar Leap can be semi-cooperative, really aggressive, or somewhere in between and you can win by playing in any of those ways.
  • Custom Game Length: Change the play time easily by increasing or decreasing the number of events to complete the game.
  • Player Choice Matters: Choose your player power and hidden trait to help support your specific strategy, designate which planets and asteroids to place where they'll benefit you the most, and choose when the game ends by either causing events to trigger or avoiding them.
  • AI Variants: Experience the galaxy of Stellar Leap against a variety of opponents on your own or add an AI to your two player games to simulate the three or four player game.
Turns are fast and player engagement is high as resources are gathered on each player's turn. Are you going to spend your resources fulfilling missions or traveling to the furthest reaches of the galaxy? Take a risk and mine an asteroid and you might just hit it big!

Each alien species is defined by a trait and ability. The traits determine what the end goal is for the alien and the ability determines how the alien can manipulate reality to get the outcome and resources they need. Gain prestige by populating, fulfilling missions, and discovering planets! The aliens with the most prestige at the end of the game wins.

There's three divisions at your disposal, Intelligence, Mining, and Labor, but they can only be activated once per turn. There's also your High Command, that can take two actions from the following choices: populate, tax, discover a planet, and attack another species. Events are triggered by players at various points in the game and can have minor or lasting effects, usually being better for the player that triggered the event!
